Tea Towel Tour ended

My Tea Towel Tour has ended. Here is my wonderful towel, finished. My theme was sewing and ocean life. The treasure box is filled with sewing notions. It is so wonderful in person. I had the best time stitching on everyone elses towels. I can't wait for the next one.

still working on it.

A wall hanging I have been working on for awhile. But I love it. I love to embroider, so it's been fun and fun to pick out the colors. It is a pattern from "Barefoot". Very cute things on there site.

I am so ready to camp

It's camping time and I am so ready for it. We haven't camped since November. We are headed to Greensboro, NC on Thursday for "EveryBus 08". Last year there are around 145 buses there. Here are our 4 buses. Our old bus we camped in is the red one, "smurf". Our new bus we will be camping in is the blue one, "Jaws". Jonah named it. :o). "Rusty" is the '58 deluxe rust colored one. And the double cab is "Charlie". Sorry the picture of the "Smurf" is so small. Is is a picture of us camping at the beach.

Two more Tea Towels done

I finished two more tea towels for our tour. I am actually done now and kind of sad about it. The tour was so much fun. I don't want it to end. I will post my towel when I get it back.

lap quilt block swap

I joined a lap quilt block swap on craftster. Me and 11 other ladies swap fabric and make blocks for each other. How fun does that sound? FUN! Here is my fabric ( bought from Quilting Adventures). and my first block, which is my block. I will be sending out the fabric Saturday or Monday to the other ladies. I'll keep you posted on my progrerss. by the way, my block was paper pieced. I forgot how much I like to paper piece. Except for taking the paper off the back. Yuck.

where the magic happens.

My sewing room. It didn't look messy uptil I took pictures of it. Now I feel like I need to clean it up. All the sharks on the walls were painted by me. Yes, I paint too. My two fav things to do ...sew and paint. Oh and yes, that is a swing you see in the background. Jeremy , my husband hung a swing from the ceiling. Jonah, my son, swings while I sew. I so need to remake the curtain. Those are the curtains from Jonah's room when he was a baby.

baby blanket and bib

Very good friends for ours are excepting a baby boy. They will be naming him Eben Matthew. Eben, after Jeremy's brother. :o)

Here is a baby blanket I made with minkee on the back. It is SSSOOOO soft. And a bib to match. The bib pattern is free @ Quilting Adventures. A very easy pattern too. I'll be mailing it off today for them.
